07:15            Meet at the Entrance of BICC  
07:30-09:00  Transfer to Badaling Great Wall
09:00-11:30    Climb the wall and enjoy the magnificent scenery
11:30-12:00    Transfer to Changping County
12:00-14:00    Taste authentic Chinese halal hot pot with beef and lamb.
14:00-15:30    Transfer back to BICC

* Badaling Great Wall

The Great Wall at Badaling was built along the ridges of mountains, looking precipitous from the external wall but gently sloped from the internal wall. It is a section of the Great Wall opened earliest to tourists and receives the largest number of tourists. In the six decades since it opened, the Great Wall at Badaling scenic spot, on behalf of the Great Wall of China, was conferred with the World Cultural Heritage license by UNESCO. In 2007, in the appraisal of the world’s new seven wonders, Great Wall maintained its top position because of its extensive and profound history and culture, and unprecedented prestige in the world.

*Chinese Hot Pot

 

Hotpot has a history of almost 2,000 years in China. Initially, it was only popular in the coldest areas of north China. But with improved cooking methods, hotpot developed a few regional variations and was gradually accepted by people all across China. During winter time, relatives and friends would gather together around a cooking pot, dip-boiling meat or vegetables into the hot broth while chatting about all kinds of topics. It is definitely a warm and entertaining pastime. The act of "shuan"(涮shuàn) or placing items into the hotpot, is very special. You can shuan at a relaxed and leisure pace, putting bits of food into the broth and then taking them out to eat either with dipping sauces or other condiments.

The cooking time is usually short and therefore the meat and vegetables are tender and fresh. Typical Beijing hotpot, or the northern style hotpot, with sliced mutton as the main item, is well-known in China.
